BDAG Supports E.Y.E
BDAG supports the Northern Virginia Private E.Y.E. Program (Educating Youth through Employment), an initiative of the SkillSource Group, Inc.,
a non-profit arm of the Northern Virginia Workforce Investment Board(NVWIB), provides summer employment for youth in high demand industries.
BDAG supports the program by giving cash rewards to youth who completes the employment satisfactorily.
Each student receives a $100.00 or $50.00 in cash depending on their performance based on the evaluation of his/her employer.
There were 29 youths between ages 16 to 21 who received the cash, totaling $2,500 for the 2007 summer program.

BDAG awarded the 2007 ETA Small Grassroots Organization Grant
June 28, 2007. The US Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration (ETA) today announce $3.8 million in grants to 73 faith-based and community organizations competitively chosen to help hard-to-served populations prepare for and succeed in employment opportunities in 28 states and the District of Columbia. BDAG is one of the 59 new awardees and one of the four in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
This grant will allow BDAG to expand its existing programs with One Stop Employments Centers in Fairfax County and other One-Stops in Northern Virginia to provide supportive services as individuals seek to reintegrate into the workforce. BDAG's project "Access To Success" will start in July 2007 and ends in December 2008.
